If you told me I’d be juggling a business degree, running a mentorship program, and still holding down a 3.9 GPA—I’d believe you. Not because it’s easy, but because intentional hustle hits different when you’re rooted in purpose.
I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Business Administration at Southern New Hampshire University, and I’ve learned a lot—not just about marketing, finance, or operations—but about managing myself.
This post isn’t about being perfect. It’s about building systems that work for your life. Whether you’re a student, entrepreneur, or both—here are the 5 study strategies I use to stay on top of my academics while keeping my business and brand thriving.
1. Treat Your Syllabus Like a Business Blueprint
At the start of every term, I input every assignment, quiz, and discussion post into my Notion dashboard. I set “fake” deadlines 2–3 days early to give myself space to breathe (or pivot). It’s not just about meeting deadlines—it’s about never being surprised by them.
2. Use Tools You Actually Like
I use Notion to plan my weeks and keep track of assignments like they’re client projects. If Notion’s not your thing, use Google Calendar, a paper planner, or whatever works—but commit to something that gives your brain room to focus on doing the work, not remembering what the work is.
3. Time Block Like a CEO
I use the Pomodoro method: 25 minutes of focused work, 5-minute break, repeat. It keeps me moving and stops me from overthinking. I even use it for reading. You don’t need long study marathons—just short, focused wins.
4. Study to Teach, Not Just to Pass
When I can explain something clearly—to a friend, a mentee, or even my reflection—I know I’ve actually learned it. Passive reading doesn’t stick. Turn your notes into something you could teach, and you’ll never need to cram again.
5. Use Your Support System (Early)
Don’t wait until week six to ask for help. Use your professors, tutors, discussion boards, and communities. Being “smart” doesn’t mean going solo—it means knowing how to get support that matches your goals.

Final Thoughts
A 3.9 GPA isn’t just about hard work—it’s about building habits that work with you.
My goal? Graduate summa cum laude, grow my brand, and help other women do the same.
